Don’t let the variant’s long name intimidate you — in fact, Klondike Solitaire does not get easier than this! Apart from the fact that you’re playing with just one deck, reducing the permutability of the game, all cards are face-up, significantly increasing your odds of winning the game. If you don’t believe me, take a look at its layout for yourself.
There are four main areas in the Klondike Solitaire layout:
The main play area has seven columns, with the first containing one card, the second card containing two cards, the third containing three cards, and so on, with the seventh column containing seven cards. All cards on the Tableau are also face-up, not just the topmost ones.
The Stockpile holds the remaining cards from the deck. How many cards you draw depends on the Klondike Solitaire variant you're using. In the Turn-1 version, each draw reveals just one card. Conversely, in the Turn-3 version, three cards are shown at a time. With Turn-3, only the top card is available for play, but you can either go through the set of three or draw a new set from the Stockpile.
When you draw cards from the Stockpile, they go to the Wastepile, where these cards can be played on the Tableau, or you can keep drawing additional cards. When the Stockpile is empty, the Wastepile is shuffled and used to create a new Stockpile.
There are four Foundation piles that you’ll build in ascending order for each suit, from Ace to King.
Experience effortless gameplay with our intuitive interface! Simply click on the cards, and they will effortlessly arrange themselves in their correct positions on the board, removing the need for manual sorting.

While Turn-One Face-Up Klondike Solitaire is the game at its easiest, a few tips here and there are still necessary for mastery at the beginner level. Here are some tips and tricks that can make the game easier for you. Using these three strategies can maximize your chances of winning.
The biggest advantage of this Klondike Solitaire variant is that all cards are face-up. To fully capitalize on this advantage, you should carefully scan the Tableau before playing. Take a minute or two before starting the game and scan the Tableau to see the location of the cards you’ll need for your sequences.
This strategy will ensure that you don’t start the game without knowing the details of your specific layout! Aim to find sequenced groups of cards, such as 6, 7, and 8. This way, you can focus on completing their sequence and feel more motivated to complete the game.
As mentioned before, the biggest plus of Turn-One (Face-Up) Klondike Solitaire is that players can see all the cards. When you play the game for the first time, you might not focus on the Aces too much since they just blend in with all the other face-up cards. But this is a mistake because the Aces can quickly get in the way of other cards in the Tableau.
Hence, try to focus on the Aces first and move them to the Foundation piles. Plus, since you can see the Aces, instead of finding them by luck, you can strategically move cards and get them to the Foundation piles as soon as possible. By doing this, you keep your layout from getting overly complicated, and you can easily clear the Tableau without much difficulty. Also, go through the Stockpile once to locate any Ace that might be hiding there.
Planning your moves in advance is essential. You’ve probably heard this tip many times before, but it’s particularly important in face-up Klondike Solitaire because you can plan much more easily with cards that face upward. Consider the consequences of each move by looking at the Tableau, and think of how it will impact your gameplay. In this game, your decision-making skills will determine the outcome since luck won’t come into play anymore!
With some careful thought, you can map out most of your entire strategy for a game before even moving any cards. Planning your moves beforehand guides you in winning the game smoothly and with little hassle. Plus, you can play more confidently when you’ve got a plan, and it can help you become a more strategic player.
