Move every card out of the Tableau by adding them to the Foundation Pile.
Clear the Tableau before running out of cards to draw.
Relaxed Golf Solitaire is a very easy variant of the game, but it still takes some skill and forethought to win.
In Relaxed Golf Solitaire, the Tableau consists of 35 cards arranged in 7 columns. Each column has 5 cards, stacked with each card partially covering the one above it.
Deal out the columns side-by-side in a single row.
Every card in the Tableau is dealt face-up.
Leave room below the Tableau for a Draw Pile and a Foundation Pile.
Deal a single card face-up in the Foundation Pile.
Place the remaining cards face-down in a pile to create your Draw Pile.
Your goal is to empty the Tableau. You win when every card from the Tableau has been moved to the Foundation Pile, even if there are still cards in the Draw Pile.
Any card at the bottom of a column can be moved from the Tableau to the Foundation Pile if it has the right rank.
Only a card that is one rank above or below the card at the top of the Foundation Pile can be added to it.
For example, if the top card in the Foundation Pile is a 9, only an 8 or a 10 can be placed on top of it.
This variant of Golf Solitaire allows you to add an Ace to the Foundation Pile if the top card is a King, and add a King if the top card is an Ace.
Suits don’t matter in Relaxed Golf Solitaire.
You can draw a card at any point in the game.
When you draw a card, place it face-up on top of the Foundation Pile.
You can only cycle through your Draw Pile once.
You cannot move cards around in the Tableau.
You cannot add cards back to the Tableau after moving them to the Foundation Pile.
Stack all the cards face-up, forming 7 columns with 5 cards each.
Deal a single card face-up to start your Foundation Pile.
Place the remaining cards face-down in a single pile.
Add cards that are one rank higher or lower than the top card.
Draw a card and place it at the top of the Foundation Pile.
You win when the Tableau is empty!
Relaxed Golf Solitaire lets you play Aces on Kings and play Kings on Aces. That makes the game much easier than the original version, but you’ll still need some patience and strategy to clear the Tableau.
Here are some tips to improve your odds of winning:
When choosing between two cards to add to the Foundation Pile, always choose the one that will unlock more moves. The more cards you can play before drawing, the better!
Unlike FreeCell, you can’t use the empty spaces in the Tableau. So when you have a choice between playing the last card in the column and playing one that has cards underneath it, opt for the one that will reveal more cards.
You have a limited number of draws and will probably need every single one of them to win. Make sure you’ve exhausted every possible move in the Tableau before drawing a new card.
